Ballistol Universal has so many uses around the home and the workshop as well as for the care of weapons.Something those of us preoccupied with full bore shooting forget is that Ballistol is also great for cleaning the barrels and moving parts of air rifles and pistols too. We do have some specialised products to remove copper, clean plastic stocks etc but the basic Universal oil will cover almost every one of your needs in keeping an air gun functioning correctly. A good spray and soak inside the bore followed by a brush will remove most of the contaminants, this can be followed by Robla solo mil for a really deep clean if you want to go the whole hogg now and again , and then a patch of Ballistol to finish up, wipe the outside of the gun when finished to keep it rust free and looking nice. It even cleans and preserves your leather slings, boots, belts etc. Ballistol Universal is skin friendly, non toxic and bio degradable too and has been in use since 1904!
Keep a can in your pocket when you are out in the field because if it rains you can easily spray it directly onto the wet rifle, Ballistol will emulsify with the water and dry to leave a film of oil on the surface of the metal, keeping things protected until you get home. It serves even as a wound dressing thanks to its disinfectant properties. It has truly been tried and tested in every corner of the world for 115 years!
